A Texas dude named Anthony Reyes, 23, found himself in hot water after tall-taling his way into a secure area at Donald Trump's swanky Palm Beach, Florida, club, Mar-a-Lago, Tuesday night. That's right, folks, Secret Service agents had to throw the book at him!
The Palm Beach police force got wind of the situation around midnight, after being tipped off by Secret Service agents who had already apprehended ol' Anthony. It seems he thought scaling walls was the way to go to spread his religious messages to Trump and proposed marrying Trump's 18-year-old granddaughter, Kai.
In the official report, Secret Service agents stated that they found Reyes on the premises, with him admitting to jumping over the wall to get in. He didn't have permission to enter the protected zone, cops said. It's worth mentioning that this wasn't Reyes' first rodeo when it comes to trying to sneak into Trump's digs. He was previously charged with trespassing on New Year's Eve, the report noted.
In a statement, the Secret Service revealed that they stopped Reyes after he scaled a perimeter fence and triggered alarms. No one important was on the property when the incident occurred, they added.
A White House spokesperson told NBC News that Trump had been briefed on the situation and would let the Secret Service handle further questions.
Reyes was put in the Palm Beach County slammer, with his bond set at $50,000 and a slew of conditions, including no contact with Trump or his family, including Kai Trump. He pleaded not guilty.
It's worth noting that Mar-a-Lago became protected by the Secret Service back in July 2025, following an attempted assassination at a Trump rally earlier that month[1][2]. This isn't the first time Trump's Florida property has been targeted.
