In a nail-biting Game 3 of their first-round series, the Indiana Fever managed to secure a hard-fought victory against the Atlanta Dream, advancing to the semifinals for the first time since 2015.

Despite facing significant injury problems, losing five players to season-ending injuries during the series, the Fever refused to give up. They closed the game on a 7-0 run, with key contributions from Kelsey Mitchell, Lexie Hull, and Aliyah Boston.

Boston, in particular, had a brilliant all-around performance, finishing with 14 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists. It was her go-ahead bucket with 7.4 seconds remaining that secured the victory for the Fever.

The Atlanta Dream, who won a franchise-record 30 games during the regular season and earned the No. 3 seed, struggled offensively in the series. This offensive woe eventually led to their elimination.

The Fever held the Atlanta Dream to 12 points in the fourth quarter and 29 in the second half. After Rhyne Howard's 3-pointer, the Dream had three turnovers and went 0 of 3 from the field, allowing the Fever to take the lead.

Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever in scoring in Game 3, scoring 24 points. Odyssey Sims added a free throw with 1.2 seconds remaining to seal the deal for the Fever.

The Fever will now advance to face the winner of the Las Vegas/Seattle series in the semifinals. The Las Vegas Aces have already secured their spot in the semifinals, having won their series against the Seattle Storm.

This marks a significant milestone for the Indiana Fever, who have been working hard to rebuild and rejuvenate their team. Their resilience and determination in the face of adversity have undoubtedly earned them the respect of fans and opponents alike.

Brionna Jones attempted a shot at the buzzer, but it did not go in, officially ending the game and the series for the Atlanta Dream. The Fever can now look forward to the semifinals with a renewed sense of hope and ambition, ready to take on whatever challenges come their way.
