The Indian junior women's hockey team is set to embark on an exciting tour of Australia from September 26 to October 2, 2025. The series, which will take place at the National Hockey Centre in Canberra, consists of five matches.

The tour presents a significant exposure opportunity for the Indian team as they prepare for the FIH Hockey Women's Junior World Cup 2025 in Santiago, Chile. The series against the Australian junior women's team and local side Canberra Chill will provide an opportunity for the Indian team to test themselves in challenging conditions and gain international match experience.

Coach Tushar Khandker believes that the experience gained from the series will significantly contribute to shaping the team's confidence and readiness for the World Cup. He stated, "The upcoming series will be a test of our preparations so far."

The Australian junior women's team is renowned for its fast-paced and physical brand of hockey. For many of the Indian players, this will be their first overseas exposure at the junior level. The focus of the Indian team during the series will be on improving match temperament, adapting to different playing conditions, and executing strategies under pressure.
