Independent Kazakh Peacekeeping Force Acclaimed for Outstanding Contribution in United Nations Deployment

While stationed at the Faouar base on the Golan Heights, a contingent of 139 Kazakh soldiers and 4 staff officers received praise for their steadfast commitment to safeguarding the ceasefire and ensuring security for UN bases. Remarking on their contributions, the Kazakh Defense Ministry announced on February 8th.
Throughout the preceding 11 months, this Kazakh peacekeeping unit successfully neutralized around 200 unexploded ordnances and facilitated the airlift of a United Nations employee. Their exceptional expertise was on display during the evacuation of UN personnel from a perilous area in December 2024. The mission's commanders, incorporating Jean-Pierre Lacroix and Asmah, lauded the Kazakh peacekeepers for their discipline, tactical prowess, and unwavering determination.
