Larry Fessenden, an indie film icon and multi-hyphenate in the horror genre, is gearing up for his eighth directorial effort with the upcoming film, "Trauma Or, Monsters All." This film serves as a sequel to Fessenden's previous works: "Habit" (1995), "Depraved" (2019), and "Blackout" (2023).

The story brings together the iconic monsters from these films, uniting the vampire Sam, the Frankenstein-like Adam, and the werewolf Charley Barrett under one roof in the fictional town of Talbot Falls. This contemporary homage to classic monster mash-ups like Universal Pictures' House of Frankenstein and House of Dracula offers an existential and humanist perspective on these monsters.

  • Alex Hurt as Charley Barrett, the werewolf from Blackout

  • Joshua Leonard, who is coming out of retirement for this project

Filming for "Trauma Or, Monsters All" was completed over three months in upstate New York. The film is currently in post-production. Fessenden expressed his enjoyment of the challenge of presenting his existential take on monsters in a contemporary mash-up.
