Inclusive Bike Tour 2018 Promotes Disability Awareness Across Germany

The 'Inclusive Bike Tour 2018' has been traversing Germany since mid-August, covering approximately 3000 kilometers. This initiative, organized under the motto 'Inclusion needs action', aims to raise awareness for the needs of people with disabilities and promote understanding.

The tour, led by inclusion ambassadors Karl Grandt and Hans-Peter Durst, recently continued towards Lingen and Dörpen. On September 22, around 30 people from Nordhorn braved heavy rain to cycle to Wietmarschen, demonstrating their commitment to the cause.

The tour, organized by the ADFC with city and district support, has seen notable participation. Nordhorn's mayor, Thomas Berling, even joined the group and gave the starting signal at the Nordhorn Schweinemarkt. The destination on this occasion was the Stiftscafé Menke, where a barbecue was held despite the autumn weather.

The 'Inclusive Bike Tour 2018' has been a significant event, fostering connections and breaking down prejudices. While the exact end date and ambassador are not explicitly mentioned, the tour's impact on promoting inclusion is evident. The project's success is a testament to the power of community involvement and dedication.
