Heavy Rain Warning Lifted in Several Irish Counties

Met Éireann, Ireland's national meteorological service, issued a Status Yellow rain warning for several counties on September 21, 2025. The affected areas included Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, and Waterford.

The warning was issued early in the morning, coming into effect at 5:25 am. The heavy rain that accompanied the warning could have led to localized flooding, difficult traveling conditions, and poor visibility.

Fortunately, the heavy rain did not last long, and the warning expired a few hours later. However, the potential for flooding and difficult driving conditions meant that residents and commuters in the affected areas were advised to exercise caution.

The rain warning was a timely reminder of the unpredictable nature of the Irish weather. While the rain has passed, it is always important to stay informed and be prepared for any weather-related disruptions.

Met Éireann continues to monitor the weather conditions across the country and will issue further updates as necessary. In the meantime, we encourage everyone to stay safe and dry.
