In the upcoming competition, No. 6 Oregon aims to secure another victory against their rivals, Oregon State.

In the ongoing football season, the highly-ranked Oregon Ducks are set to face their in-state rivals, the Oregon State Ravens, on Saturday in Eugene. This annual rivalry, despite Oregon's move to the Big Ten and Oregon State's continued membership in the Pac-12, remains a much-anticipated event.

The Ducks, currently ranked sixth in the AP Top 25, come into the game riding high after a 34-14 victory over Northwestern last Saturday. Oregon's defense was particularly impressive, recording two interceptions during the game. Offensively, the team showcased their depth at the running back position, with touchdown runs from Jayden Limar, Jordon Davison, and Dierre Hill Jr.

Oregon State, on the other hand, finds themselves in a tough spot. Currently 0-3, they are in search of their first win of the season. However, there have been some bright spots for the Ravens. Their quarterback, Maalik Murphy, has been impressive, with 896 passing yards over the first three games of the season. This is the most by a Beavers quarterback over the opening three games since Sean Mannion's 903 in 2014.

Despite Murphy's strong start, Oregon State has struggled to find the end zone, with their total TD passes for the entire 2024 season less than Murphy's current count. The Ravens have had a 100-yard receiver in five straight games, and fourteen players have caught at least one pass this season, three more than in 2024.

The coach leading the Beavers this season is Trent Bray, who has had to address questions about his job security. However, Bray has expressed confidence in his players and coaches, and is determined to turn the team's fortunes around.

The history of this rivalry favours the Ducks. Oregon has won 14 of the last 17 meetings, and led the series 68-51 with 10 ties before the latest game. The last meeting between the two teams saw Jayden Limar score a touchdown for Oregon.

As the two teams prepare to face off, fans and analysts alike are eager to see how the game will unfold. The Oregon Ducks will be looking to continue their impressive form, while Oregon State will be hoping to secure their first win of the season and shake off their early-season struggles.
