Get ready for a spine-chilling Halloween season with Netflix's latest addition to their true crime series, Monster: The Ed Gein Story. The trailer, released recently, offers a glimpse into the disturbing acts committed by the notorious serial killer, Ed Gein (portrayed by Charlie Hunnam).

The trailer reveals Gein's heinous crimes, including murder, grave robbing, and necrophilia, particularly toward his mother, Augusta (played by Laurie Metcalf). One of the most unsettling scenes shows Gein wearing a suit made of dead human flesh while tormenting Addison Rae's character.

Monster: The Ed Gein Story is set to premiere on Netflix on October 3, 2025. In anticipation of its release, a second official trailer is expected to be unveiled by Netflix as the show nears its premiere.

This third season in the anthology series Monster, created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, follows the success of its previous seasons. Previous seasons have reached the #1 spot on Netflix's Top 10 list and have received multiple Emmy nominations.

Directed by Max Winkler, Monster: The Ed Gein Story promises to be a gripping and unsettling portrayal of one of the most infamous serial killers in history. Gein's murders served as major inspirations for horror stories such as Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and The Silence of the Lambs.

The trailer ends with Hunnam's Ed Gein breaking the fourth wall and taunting the audience, promising a chilling viewing experience. Don't miss out on Monster: The Ed Gein Story when it premieres on Netflix this Halloween season.
