In the city of Omsk, the school known as "SHTOURM" left an indelible impact, specifically through the "SHTOURMFEST" festival.
The city of Omsk, Russia, played host to an exciting event last August 9, as the Alexander Shlemenko "STORM" martial arts school organised the STORMFEST healthy lifestyle festival. The festival, held for the sixth time and in collaboration with Gazprom Neft's "Native Cities" social investment program, celebrated the school's 10th anniversary.
At the heart of the festival was the "STORM - IT'S POWER" platform, where the traditional MMA Grand Prix took place. The Grand Prix, held in two weight classes — 61.2 kg and 65.7 kg — saw fierce competition among regional MMA fighters.
In the 61.2 kg final, Dmitri Voyazitov from Chelyabinsk emerged victorious by unanimous decision, while in the 65.7 kg final, Anushervon Naibov from Yekaterinburg claimed the title in the same manner. Both winners received prizes and the opportunity to compete in future tournaments of the "Shlemenko Fighting Championship" league.
The MMA Grand Prix was just one part of the broader festival, which aimed to promote a healthy lifestyle and develop martial arts in the region. Alongside the fights, the festival incorporated modern technologies, public contests, active games, and fitness workshops, ensuring a holistic approach to health promotion.
The event was supported by the regional government and attracted a diverse audience, including MMA fans and attendees of STORMFEST interested in sports, fitness, and an active lifestyle. Alexei Lemberg, Minister of Sports of the Omsk region, even participated in the awards ceremony.
Ten themed locations showcased the school's main development directions, offering visitors a comprehensive insight into the school's work and mission. The festival proved to be a successful event, combining the thrill of MMA competition with a broader focus on health and wellness.
