In the Champions League's inaugural match, Chelsea, led by players Enzo Fernández and Garnacho, suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich in Germany.

In the latest Champions League match, Chelsea faced a tough challenge against Bayern Munich. The referee for the game was José María Sánchez Martínez.

The visiting coach, in an attempt to freshen up the attack, brought in Alejandro Garnacho as a substitute. However, the young winger failed to make an impact on the left side.

The game started off evenly, but it was Bayern Munich who took the lead through an own goal by Trevoh Chalobah. Enzo Fernández played for 35 minutes before being substituted.

Chelsea's goalkeeper, Robert Sánchez, showed his worth by saving a couple of goals for the team. The equalizer came in the form of a beautiful counterattack, with Cole Palmer scoring a luxurious finish in the top corner.

But Bayern Munich wasn't done yet. They continued attacking in the second half and scored the second goal through Harry Kane. The third goal, also scored by Kane, came after a mistake in Chelsea's exit.

Cole Palmer, celebrating his 100th appearance with Chelsea, scored the consolation goal for the home team. It was also his 45th goal in those 100 appearances.

As the match drew to a close, Chelsea made some substitutions. Pedro Neto was substituted out, and Alejandro Garnacho came in at the 68th minute. In stoppage time, Nicolas Jackson and Tom Bischof entered the game.

Despite Chelsea's best efforts, they were unable to prevent Bayern Munich from securing a 3-1 victory. The loss marks a setback for Chelsea in their Champions League campaign.
