The South Delhi Superstarz started off well, posting a competitive total of 185/7 in their 20 overs. Kunwar Bidhuri scored a brisk 42 off 27 balls, while Captain Ayush Badoni contributed 48 off 25 balls. However, the Superstarz lost momentum in the middle overs, losing wickets at regular intervals.
The Lions tightened the screws during the death overs and managed to restrict the Superstarz to a chaseable, but challenging, target of 186 runs.
The Lions' opening pair of Ankit Kumar and Krish Yadav put on a stunning 158-run partnership, dominating the chase from the outset. Ankit Kumar, in particular, shone with a powerful 96 runs off just 46 deliveries, including 11 boundaries and six sixes. Krish Yadav chipped in with 67 runs off 42 balls.
Anirudh Chowdhary led the Lions' bowlers with impressive figures of 3/25 in his 4 overs, while Manan Bhardwaj supported well with 2/23.
The Lions achieved their target in just 15.4 overs, demonstrating a comprehensive all-round performance to secure a convincing win. Hrithik Shokeen also contributed with the ball, taking 1/16 for the Lions.
