In Talgar, two young individuals went missing, with one eventually being located in the surrounding mountainous terrain.
Two young tykes vanished in Talgar one evening, playing unsupervised in the parking lot of a private residence. With the sun dipping down and no trace of the kids in sight, their panicked parents reached out to emergency services – as reported by Liter.kz, citing EMERCOM of Kazakhstan.
According to the department's press office, the missing boy, born in 2020, and his sister, born in 2015, were frolicking nearby when they went MIA. The worried parents quickly dialed the 112 number.
Responding to the distress call, emergency services, local law enforcement, residents, and relatives descended upon the scene. Search and rescue dogs, along with a drone, were deployed in the frantic hunt. Despite the pitch-black darkness and rugged terrain, the search continued through the night, with rescuers undeterred.
Eventually, the boy was found huddled in the mountains at midnight, some three kilometers from the house, and the girl turned up early the following morning, 10 kilometers away from where they were playing.
Once checked over by doctors, both children were safely reunited with their relieved parents. Thankfully, their health wasn't an issue.
