In the latest updates, the Saporischschja region of Ukraine has been under continued attack by Russian forces. According to the Ukrainian air force, 45 combat drones were used against Ukraine in the night, with 36 of them being shot down or forced to crash by electronic air defense [1].

The attacks have resulted in devastating damage, including the destruction of industrial facilities and a private house in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as the damage of nine small holiday huts in Saporischschja [1]. Furthermore, the attack on a holiday center in Saporischschja has reportedly resulted in at least two deaths, although recent available information does not specify this as a direct air strike on a holiday center [1].

Stepnohirsk, a settlement within the Saporischschja area, has been particularly affected. A recent shelling of Stepnohirsk near the front lines resulted in three civilian fatalities and the destruction of private homes [1]. However, it is important to note that there appear to be no recent updates publicly available on an air strike by Russia specifically targeting a holiday center in the Saporischschja region.

The Russian military carried out the attack at around 6 a.m., with at least four air strikes, causing a fire on the grounds of the holiday center and injuring at least 12 people, including four children [1]. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj described the attack as "sheer cruelty to frighten people" [1].

The Saporischschja region is one of the five Ukrainian regions that Russia has declared annexed. The region remains actively contested, with the Russian army recently intensifying its attacks [1].

Elsewhere, local Ukrainian authorities reported a 1959-born man was killed in a Russian attack in Pokrovsk, in the eastern Ukrainian region of Donetsk [1]. Falling debris from intercepted drones can also cause additional damage. A large fire was reportedly visible from the Romanian city of Tulcea in the Danube Delta [1].

For the most up-to-date and verified reports, it is advisable to consult current real-time news sources or official Ukrainian government communications, as the situation can evolve rapidly.
