In Sochi, temporary traffic restrictions enacted for the installation of bike lanes.
On the 10th of October, a cycling event called "Mangazeya Three Hills Autumn" will take place in Sochi, lasting until the 12th. Organised by the Mangazeya Cycling Club, this event consists of three distances: 14, 10, and 73 kilometers.
During this period, there will be temporary traffic restrictions to ensure the safety of the cyclists and the smooth running of the event. Here's a breakdown of the affected road sections and timings:
- On the 10th of October, from 14:30 to 17:00, traffic will be restricted on certain road sections from the checkpoint at the bridge over the Laura River to the additional tunnel exit from the Olympic Mountain Village.
- On the same day, from 14:40 to 17:00, road sections from the intersection of Estonskaya Street and Olimpiiskaya Street to Alpynskoe Highway, 30, will be closed.
- On the 11th of October, the same road sections will be affected from 14:30 to 17:00.
- On the 12th of October, traffic will be closed from the intersection of the New Krasnopolyansky Highway and ulitsa Zashchitnikov Kavkaza to the exits of ulitsa Omelova and Dubravnaya. The longest race of the cycling series, "Russian Hills," will take place from 7:30 to 11:30 on this day.
The total elevation gain for the cycling series is 850, 600, and 500 meters respectively.
