'Kangana's Restaurant Records Disappointing Rs 50 Sales Amidst Manali Floods' or 'Poor Sales of Rs 50 for Kangana's Restaurant in Flood-Stricken Manali'

In Manali, overwhelmed by floods, Kangana's restaurant reportedly garnered a meager Rs 50 in revenue, sparking public outrage.

In the aftermath of the severe monsoon devastation that has been affecting Himachal Pradesh since June 20, Bollywood actress and MP for Mandi, Kangana Ranaut, has visited the flood-hit areas of her constituency, Manali.

Ranaut interacted with affected residents in Patlikuhal near Manali and noted that the state has suffered great damage. She emphasised the need for everyone to come together to rebuild. The actress visited Solang and Palchan villages, meeting families who had been forced to move to safer places after their homes were declared unsafe. At least 15 families were relocated following the heavy rains, as briefed by former Mandi MLA Govind Singh Thakur.

Official figures confirm that the disaster has claimed at least 424 lives in the state, with 45 people still missing. The tragedy has been particularly severe in the Mandi and Kullu districts, both part of Kangana Ranaut's constituency, with 113 fatalities reported.

During her visit, Ranaut also highlighted the impact on her personal life, with her restaurant in Manali making only Rs 50 in business, while she has to pay Rs 15 lakh in salaries.

The organisation coordinating the aid efforts for the flooding disaster in Himachal Pradesh, where Kangana Ranaut is involved as a representative, is ADRA (Adventist Development and Relief Agency) Germany. Ranaut urged residents to raise questions rather than direct anger at her, acknowledging that Members of Parliament do not control disaster relief funds but can coordinate with the Centre.

Ranaut's house and land are in Manali, and she expressed her deep concern for the disruption caused to roads, livelihoods, and development projects across the region. The actress's visit serves as a testament to her commitment to her constituency and her determination to help rebuild and recover from this devastating disaster.
