"In 2025, farmers initiate search for female counterparts - accompanied by these agriculturalists"
The highly anticipated new season of the popular TV show, "Farmer Wants a Wife", is set to air on RTL in the fall of 2025. Titled "Farmer Wants a Wife 2025", this season promises a romantic journey through the heart of Germany.
Hosted by Inka Bause, the show will feature 16 farmers, both men and women, seeking love. The participants hail from various regions across Germany, including Lower Saxony, Erzgebirge, Baden-Württemberg, Brandenburg, and more.
From Christopher (31), a hobby farmer from Brandenburg, who runs a self-sufficient farm with his mother Cordula (60) and his best friend Lothar (68), to Bastian (25), a cattle farmer from Lower Franconia, who was previously an industrial mechanic and completed his farmer training last year, the farmers represent a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences.
Armin (39), a mother cow farmer from Baden-Württemberg, is a trained winemaker and hobby cook who prioritizes species-appropriate care for his animals. Thomas (39), a biodynamic farmer from the Erzgebirge, runs a mother cow farm with his parents and grows winter wheat, winter rye, oats, and peas. Michael (32), a sheep farmer from Bavaria, represents farmers on their farms and assists when needed.
In the northern regions, farmers like Daniel (33) from North Rhine-Westphalia, Jörg (57) from Lower Saxony, and Johann (60) from Lower Saxony, are also seeking love. Daniel, who has 100 cattle and farms 35 hectares of arable and grassland, is a family man. Jörg, a poultry farmer, is a master gardener and landscape architect by profession. Johann, a cattle breeder, is looking for a new partner after the loss of his wife.
The new season is expected to be full of romance between the barn and the field. The participants will introduce themselves and share their unique life stories before the show begins. Among them are Friedrich (29), an asparagus farmer from NRW, who grows green asparagus, wheat, barley, triticale, field beans, and corn; Insa (28), a horsewoman from the Lüneburg Heath, who works with traumatized children using therapeutic animal work; and Simone (55), a sanctuary operator from Saarland, who cares for horses, ponies, donkeys, goats, two dogs, and a cat with many volunteers.
Steffen (31), a horse groom from the Emsland, wishes to take over his parents' horse breeding farm with the right partner. Walter (73), a chicken farmer from Lower Saxony, lives on a biodynamic egg farm with three of his seven adult children. Herbert (59), a horse pension operator from Hesse, is separated from his wife and seeking a new romantic relationship.
In addition to the German season, a new season of "Farmer Wants a Wife International" will air in 2026. The TV show, which is known for featuring farmers looking for love, continues to captivate audiences worldwide. Stay tuned for more updates on "Farmer Wants a Wife 2025"!
