In 2022, Splatoon 3 breaks new ground and sets foot in uncharted, inkless landscapes, debuting on the Nintendo Switch console.
The February 2021 Nintendo Direct presentation brought exciting news for Nintendo Switch gamers, announcing several new games with release dates between February and November 2021.
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury kicked off the lineup, launching on February 12, 2021. Following closely was Game Builder Garage, which became available in February (exact date not specified).
In March, fans can look forward to the release of Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Complete Edition on the 19th, and Tales from the Borderlands will return to the unforgiving world of Pandora on the 24th.
Apex Legends will make its debut on the Nintendo Switch on March 9, and Overcooked All You Can Eat will join the platform on March 23.
Later in the year, Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom (Nintendo Switch version) will be released on September 17, 2021.
As for the holiday season, gamers can expect the release of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl on November 19, 2021, and Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition on November 11, 2021.
In addition to these titles, several other games were announced, including:
- MONSTER HUNTER RISE will have a new Rampage story event and a Nintendo Switch MONSTER HUNTER RISE Deluxe Edition system, launching on March 26.
- Project TRIANGLE STRATEGY is a new tactical role-playing game from SQUARE ENIX, launching exclusively on Nintendo Switch in 2022.
- Neon White is a first-person action game about exterminating demons in Heaven, launching for Nintendo Switch this winter.
- Mario Golf: Super Rush is the newest installment in the series, featuring new modes, motion controls, and a Story Mode, launching on Nintendo Switch this year on June 25.
- SAMURAI WARRIORS 5 is heading to Nintendo Switch, featuring revamped character designs and a vibrant, illustrated art style, launching this summer.
- Legend of Mana is returning with fully remastered HD graphics, rearranged music, and additional features, launching for Nintendo Switch on June 24.
- Miitopia is a game starring customizable Mii characters that lets you personalize your own adventure.
- NINJA GAIDEN: Master Collection will bring three action-packed entries in the acclaimed NINJA GAIDEN series to Nintendo Switch, launching on June 10.
- Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse will eat its way onto Nintendo Switch on March 16.
- No More Heroes 3 will land on Nintendo Switch on Aug. 27.
- Capcom Arcade Stadium will bring dozens of Capcom's most beloved arcade classics to Nintendo Switch, launching later today.
- Hades will have a physical release on Nintendo Switch, coming with extras like a PC download code for the Hades Original Soundtrack and a 32-page character compendium, launching on March 19.
- World's End Club is a game from the creators of the Danganronpa and Zero Escape series, launching for Nintendo Switch on May 28.
- Knockout City is a team-based dodgeball game, launching on Nintendo Switch on May 21.
- Star Wars: Hunters is a free-to-play online multiplayer game set between the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, launching in 2021.
- Pyra/Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be the latest DLC fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, part of Fighters Pass Vol. 2 along with Min Min from ARMS, Steve & Alex from Minecraft, Sephiroth from FINAL FANTASY, and two yet-to-be-announced fighters.
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons will receive items inspired by the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros., starting on March 1 following the free update to the game on Feb. 25.
- Miitopia is a customizable adventure game for Nintendo Switch, featuring expanded customization options and a horse ally, launching on May 21.
Moreover, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will receive downloadable content, with the first wave coming in June and the second hitting in November.
