Stepping into the Limelight
Imposter Pierre Sanoussi-Bliss Joins Crew in "Among Us" Game
Cologne (dpa) - Adorning the silver screen as "The Old One" and treading the jungle terrain, actor Pierre Sanoussi-Bliss is now stepping onto the soap opera stage with RTL's hit series "Under Us." He will debut as the enigmatic character, Adam Wolter, who keeps viewers guessing, as RTL revealed. The big screen debut is set for episode 7703, airing mid-September.
"Landing the role in 'Under Us' feels like a natural fit. The laid-back, easygoing essence of the character appeals to me, beyond just memorizing lines," says Sanoussi-Bliss, sharing his enthusiasm for joining the RTL institution.
Respect for the Soap Opera Grind
Sanoussi-Bliss mentioned he has immense respect for his colleagues who bring their A-game daily in this fast-paced series. "They have to memorize vast scripts in a short span, so it's no easy feat. Adventures like 'Under Us,' that have been on for over 30 years, show they haven't missed a beat," he added, acknowledging the dedication and talent of his co-stars.
First broadcast in 1994, "Under Us" offers a peek into the daily lives of ordinary Schillerallee residents in Cologne, where they navigate love, hate, friendship, jealousy, and the pressure to succeed. With A-list guest appearances key to its allure, the show has showcased stars like Nino de Angelo, Frauke Ludowig, and Ross Antony. Rookie soap actor Alessia Herren, daughter of late "Lindenstraße" actor Willi Herren (1975-2021), joined the series cast since April 2025.
Interestingly, Herren and Sanoussi-Bliss share more than just the screen—recently, they teamed up for the RTL jungle camp adventure. Sanoussi-Bliss earned the title of "vice-jungle king" in the reality competition, just behind Lilly Becker, making lasting impressions with viewers. His enduring popularity stems from his memorable roles, such as the near-twenty-year run in ZDF's crime series "The Old One."
In this new phase of his career, Pierre Sanoussi-Bliss talks about his excitement to be a part of the long-running soap opera "Under Us," delving into the world of pop- culture and entertainment, expressing respect for the actors who juggle demanding scripts in the fast-paced series. As the rubber meets the road, he prepares to join the illustrious ranks of celebrities who have graced "Under Us," channeling the charm and mystery of his character for the enjoyment of movie-and-tv enthusiasts.
