Imminent Film Event in Nizhny Novgorod Region to Gather 60 Audience Members

In the heart of Russia, the Nizhny Novgorod region is set to participate in the tenth annual "Night of Cinema" event on August 23, 2025. This cultural extravaganza will see a collaboration between several local venues, including the Record culture center, the Orelok, Burevestnik, and Zarnitsa cinemas, and the Smena recreation center.

While Moscow is currently hosting the Moscow International Film Week, Nizhny Novgorod will offer a unique cinematic experience within the region. The event will feature a variety of films, including the war drama "Blood Type" (12+), a poignant tribute to the heroism of orphaned children during the Great Patriotic War. Another highlight is the family-friendly fantasy "The Emerald City Wizard: The Yellow Brick Road" (6+).

The "Night of Cinema" event has expanded its reach this year, with screenings taking place in over 35 countries, including new participants from Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Europe. Nearly 60 different venues will host these screenings, including houses of culture in Arzamas, Tonkshaev, Divovo, Dalnekonstantinovsky district, and open-air stages in Vyksa, Sarov, and Arzamas.

Entry to all screenings will be free, and online registration or free ticket distribution at the box office will be available for venues with limited capacity. Other cities in the Nizhny Novgorod region will join in the celebration, with cultural institutions and cinemas like Oktabr in Bor, Severny in Gorodets, the Central City Cinema named after I. Izvekov in Dzerzhinsk, the Pushkin Central Library, and the Kstovsky Puppet Theater participating.

Another must-see film for the event is the musical biopic "The Prophet: The Story of Alexander Pushkin" (12+). This year's "Night of Cinema" promises to be a memorable event, bringing together film enthusiasts from all over the world for a night of shared stories and cultural exchange.
