IMF Concert Highlights Classical Stars Performed by Sparkasse at Harburger Theater

The International Music Festival (IMF) is set to host a captivating Master Concert titled "Haiou Zhang & Friends" at the Harburger Theater in Harburg, Germany, on Thursday, September 5th, starting at 8 PM.

This top-class event, organized by Sparkasse Harburg-Buxtehude, the main sponsor of the IMF for 15 years, promises an evening of enchanting music. The concert program is predominantly committed to Romanticism, featuring works by Beethoven, Pablo de Sarasate, Camille Saint-Saëns, Yury Revich, and Antonín Dvořák.

Haiou Zhang, a renowned pianist of his generation, will bring his own Bechstein concert grand to the concert. Zhang, also the musical director of the IMF, will be joined by cellist Alexander Hülshoff, violinist Yury Revich, and pianist Levi Schechtmann. This will be the first time that Zhang, Hülshoff, Revich, and Schechtmann perform together.

Levi Schechtmann and Yury Revich are considered part of a new generation of classical stars, with Schechtmann boasting almost half a million followers on Instagram alone. Two compositions by Yury Revich are included in the concert program, and two lesser-known works by Camille Saint-Saëns will also be performed.

The popular "Dumky" piano trio by Antonín Dvořák is part of the concert program, adding an exciting twist to the evening.

Admission begins at 7:30 PM, and tickets can be purchased at the Service Center Culture & Tourism in the historic town hall of Buxtehude or online at www.klassik-buxtehude.de. The pre-sale for tickets has already started, with tickets available for 25 Euros.
