The operation, dubbed "Därmek", was sparked by intel that a shrewd 38-year-old area local had ingeniously set up an unlawful cannabis cultivation system in his private backyard, nestled in the Koksu district of Almaty.

Busting through the gates, officers arrested the cunning suspect and unearthed a sprawling cannabis garden teeming with 5,633 plants. This sinister green haven seemed to serve as the suspect's personal stash.

Following expert examination, it was confirmed beyond doubt that the man had illegally cultivated a crop brimming with narcotic substances. The case has been referred to the authorities under Article 300, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
