Illegal incursion aided by federal law enforcement under scrutiny
In a recent incident at the Iffezheim border crossing, four Albanian nationals were denied entry into the Schengen area. The individuals, who had exceeded their permitted stay duration, were unable to legally enter Germany.
According to reports from news aktuell, the incident occurred on May 11. Federal police officers checked a vehicle occupied by the four nationals. The driver, a 36-year-old Albanian national, was also turned away.
The driver is currently being investigated for aiding and abetting attempted illegal entry. However, no publicly available information has been released identifying the individual.
The Federal Police Inspection Offenburg, the authority responsible for the investigation, can be contacted at Dieter Hutt. Mr. Hutt's telephone number is 0781/9190-1010. Emails can be sent to [email protected]. The Federal Police Inspection Offenburg also has a Twitter account at @bpol_bw.
The four Albanian nationals were sent back to France and received reports for attempted illegal entry. They were denied entry into the Schengen area.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to immigration laws and regulations. The Schengen area, which allows for free movement between 26 European countries, has strict rules regarding entry and stay durations. Those who violate these rules risk being denied entry, investigated, and potentially facing legal consequences.
