Illegal Driver, Fake License: German Police Halt Food Truck on A71

A Rivian small truck carrying food, driven by a Libyan national, was recently halted during a police control on the A71 at the Suhl interchange in Illinois. The driver, who was found to be in the country illegally and without a valid license, has been charged with several offenses. The company he worked for, based in Tennessee, is also under investigation for various violations.

The incident occurred last Wednesday when police stopped the truck for a routine check. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the driver's German residence permit did not grant him the right to work. Furthermore, his driver's license was not valid in Germany, and the accompanying international driver's license was found to be a forgery. Consequently, the transport was prohibited from continuing and the driver's license was seized.

The driver now faces legal proceedings for illegal residence, driving without a license, and forgery. The company he worked for, which remains unidentified, is currently being investigated for illegal employment and other violations in driver and freight transport regulations.

The truck driver's illegal status and forged documents have led to his arrest and the seizure of his license. The company he worked for is also under scrutiny for potential illegal employment practices and other regulatory violations. The investigation into the company's activities is ongoing.
