Fast-Paced Final Emerges Victorious in the Early Iffezheim Competition - Iffezheim's initial round triumph in the concluded competition.

In the inaugural event of the Spring Meeting, the Baden Mile at Iffezheim racecourse was won by the five-year-old French colt, Short Final. Ridden by jockey Ioritz Mendizabal, the horse triumphantly secured the victory in the 55,000 Euro race, edging out Namaron under Bertrand Flandrin.

Switsch, ridden by Adrie de Vries, finished third in the 1600-meter race near Baden-Baden. The race's evident favorite, Penalty, with champion jockey Thore Hammer-Hansen in the saddle, finished fourth.

Over 15,500 spectators witnessed the victory, and Mendizabal, the winning jockey, remarked, "Short Final is a very good horse, and today, the win was very easy for us." The horse is trained and co-owned by Satoshi Kobayashi and Sylvie Allouche in Paris.

The Spring Meeting will continue on Saturday with the Derby-Trial (3:50 PM) and conclude on Sunday with the Grand Prix (2:30 PM).
