Slippery roads triggered dozens of accidents across Lower Bavaria on Tuesday morning. Police reported at least 50 incidents, with the Passau area among the worst affected. School buses stalled, and classes faced disruptions in several local schools.

The problems began shortly after 6:00 AM, as icy conditions led to a sharp rise in crashes. Emergency services responded to multiple callouts in Passau, Deggendorf, and Straubing. No serious injuries were recorded in the initial reports.

The morning rush saw over 50 weather-related collisions in the region. School operations were disrupted, though no severe injuries occurred. Road conditions remained hazardous as crews worked to clear the affected routes.
