Icy A81 motorway crash leaves 28-year-old woman seriously injured
A serious accident occurred on the A81 motorway between Singen and Stuttgart on Monday morning. Icy road conditions led to a crash involving a Ford and a truck, leaving a 28-year-old woman with serious injuries.
The incident began when the woman, driving a Ford, lost control of her vehicle on the slippery road. Her car collided with the trailer of a truck. A 39-year-old driver in a Volkswagen Golf also struggled with the icy conditions, skidding and hitting the truck's trailer and a central guardrail. Despite the chaos, the 39-year-old and the occupants of the truck remained unharmed.
The 28-year-old woman, however, sustained serious injuries and was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The crash led to the complete closure of the direction-bound lanes for several hours while emergency services attended to the scene and conducted investigations.
The Konstanz Police Headquarters has confirmed the details of the accident. Katrin Rosenthal, the press officer, can provide further information. She can be reached at phone 07531 995-3355 or via email at [email protected].
