That's why you don't see him much anymore - Ice-T explains his reduced *Law & Order: SVU* role amid budget cuts

Ice-T has addressed his reduced role in Law & Order: SVU after fans noticed his limited appearances this season. The rapper and actor, who has played Sergeant Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola since 2000, featured in only four of the eight episodes in Season 27. He has now confirmed he will return for Season 28 despite the changes.

In an interview with TMZ, Ice-T explained that budget constraints led to his smaller part in the current season. The return of Kelli Giddish as a series regular meant producers had to balance costs, resulting in his character taking a 'come and go' role. He acknowledged that while fans were upset, he appreciated their support and understood the decision as 'just business'.

Ice-T’s return for Season 28 confirms his ongoing place in Law & Order: SVU. The budget-related changes mean his appearances may vary, but his commitment to the series remains strong. Fans can expect to see more of Sergeant Tutuola when the new season airs.
