In an exciting fusion of film genres and ice skating, Holiday on Ice is set to premiere its latest show, "Cinema of Dreams" on November 19th at 7 PM at the Grefrath Ice Sports and Event Park.
The show, directed by Kim Gavin, a creative powerhouse behind shows for artists like Adele and Robbie Williams, promises to be a spectacle. Gavin is joined by a high-caliber creative and production team, including Misty Buckley, a two-time Emmy Award-winning set designer, and Michael Sharp, costume designer for celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez and Angelina Jolie.
"Cinema of Dreams" tells the story of three friends who revive an abandoned cinema and produce their own films. The show explores the magic of cinema as a place that tells dreams, and the balance between artistic success and personal connection. The soundtrack, featuring powerful beats and cinematic soundscapes, plays a significant role in setting the mood.
The show will feature 37 international top athletes, showcasing technical precision, dance expression, and acrobatic excellence on ice. Singer Oli.P and former figure skating champion Pauline Petszokat will perform together for the first time, with Oli.P singing live and Pauline responding with movement during their performance.
Adam Blake, choreographer for "Frozen" and "100 Years of Magic", is part of the creative team, ensuring the movements on ice are as breathtaking as the sets and costumes designed by Buckley and Sharp, respectively.
