Ice Skating Rink Filled to Capacity; Tomorrow Night's Public Disco Event Awaited
The Neusser Ice Sports Hall in South Park is all set to kick off the 2023/2024 ice season, following a successful resolution of a technical issue with the compressors. Oliver Tiedtke, the deputy manager of the ice sports hall, confirmed the smooth operation of the reactivated compressors and expressed optimism for the upcoming season.
The ice sports hall is not only the training ground for the Neusser Skating Club but also serves as a venue for various events, including the popular ice show "The Christmas Story." This year's performance is scheduled to take place between December 3rd and 17th, with pre-sales already underway.
The ice sports hall will also host the first Regionalliga home game of the Neusser EV ice hockey team this season. The team will face off against Bergisch Gladbach Realstars on Friday, November 10th, at 8 pm. School sports and other events are also expected to take place in the ice sports hall throughout the season.
The technical issue at Neusser Baths and Ice Sports Hall GmbH was resolved using a "bypass solution," but specific details about the resolution process remain undisclosed. Matthias Braun, the Managing Director of the company, expressed gratitude towards the dedicated employees and service providers who helped in solving the problem.
A specialist from Denmark managed to reactivate the two previously malfunctioning compressors using the bypass solution. The reduced performance of the available compressor, combined with summer-like outdoor temperatures, had resulted in the ice layer building up very slowly. However, everything has been running smoothly with the reactivated compressors since last week.
Ice skating athletes of the Neuss Skating Club were able to start their training in the South Park as early as September. The Neusser EV ice hockey team was also able to gradually use the ice and even play games.
The 2023/2024 ice season in the South Park ice sports hall promises to be an exciting one, with the first Regionalliga home game of the Neusser EV ice hockey team and the performances of the ice show "The Christmas Story" by the Neuss Skating Club both scheduled to take place at the South Park ice sports hall.
