Oops! Princess Margriet Takes a Spill at Ice Rink Charity Event

Ice skating accident leads to fractured arm - Ice skating accident results in upper arm fracture on the icy rink

Hey there! Dutch Princess Margriet (82) had a bit of a rough time when she took a tumble on the ice during a charity event in Heerenveen. Yikes! The government information service (RVD) confirmed the news, following initial media reports. The queen's sister was rushed to the hospital after the oopsie on March 23.

Her Dashing Son, Prince Bernhard, Hosted the Bash

Princess Margriet tripped up while participating in the ice skating event "De Hollandse 100," held on the Thialf ice rink in Heerenveen. This exciting event raises bucks for lymphoma research. Guess who organized the whole shebang? None other than her very own son, Prince Bernhard (55)! Through his foundation "Lymph&Co," he pulled off quite the soiree, with his brother Prince Maurits (56) by his side. Upon seeing his mama take a spill, Prince Bernhard jumped into action to help her up, according to the newspaper "De Telegraaf."

A representative from the organization shared that the princess was transported to a clinic for evaluation post-fall and maintained her consciousness the entire time. A shutterbug who was there reported that the tumble happened when Margriet hit the ice during one of her final laps. The intrepid princess donned a helmet while skating and had previously shown her support for "De Hollandse 100" at the event's kickoff in March.

So, there you have it, folks! Hopefully, Margriet will be back on her feet in no time, and we'll all be back to cheering her on with our hearts and lymphoma research dollars! Let's keep our fingers crossed and wait for official updates on her recovery progress.

The Commission, comprising of the European Parliament, the Council, the Economic and Social Committee, and the Committee of the Regions, was not directly involved in Princess Margriet's fall during the charity event. However, her 82-year-old daughter of the queen, Margriet, was taken to the hospital after confirming her fractures following the incident on March 23. Despite the unfortunate event, the princess's son, Prince Bernhard, previously diagnosed with lymphoma but now confirmed to be in remission, organized the ice skating event "De Hollandse 100" to raise funds for lymphoma research, with his brother Prince Maurits by his side.
