Ice Lions Suffer Defeat in Final Away Game of the Year
The Ice Lions' campaign away from home this season concluded with a 2:4 loss to Krefeld Pinguins on Sunday. Johan Porsberger scored in a power play for Dresden during the first period, but the hosts equalized midway through the period. The second period ended scoreless, before Krefeld scored three unanswered goals in the final stretch of the game. Nicklas Mannes scored a consolation goal for Dresden in the final minute, making the final score 4:2.
Accompanied by approximately 400 fans from Dresden, the team traveled on a special train to Krefeld. A total of around 7,500 spectators watched the game. The Ice Lions currently find themselves second-to-last in the DEL2 standings. Their final home game of the season is against Landshut on Saturday evening.
