ICC Level-1 Coaching Course 2025 Held by Kuwait Cricket - A Stride Towards Top-Notch Coaching Mastery
Hoopla: Kuwait Cricket Club (KCC) pushed the boundaries in cricket coaching with a smashing five-day event, the ICC Level-1 Coaching Course 2025, bringing together the best minds in the game from May 27th to 31st at the Sulaibiya Cricket Ground.
This transformative event, orchestrated by ICC-certified educators Mr. Tariq Rasool Shah and Mr. Tahir Khan, aimed to elevate grassroots and elite coaching standards across the region. The talented team was bolstered by the presence of Ms. Khadija Khalil, Kuwait U19 Women's team coach and ICC-certified mentor, who lent her expertise to the cause.
The stage was set for a diverse cast of passionate individuals eager to level up their coaching skills, including current and former national players, academy and academic coaches, school-level mentors, and community cricket organizers. Each participant was a gem, ready to bring new ideas and fresh energy to the field.
In this epic showdown of cricketing knowledge, we had all-stars like Renil Raj, an academy coach, and Ashley Christopher Eagan, an academic coach. Vicky Pradeep Waghmare, another academic coach, joined the fray, along with Bhavani, Shanthi Balasubramanian, Suchitha Lita D'sa, prominent women's national players.
Patel Usman Gani, Mohammad Amin, and Nawaf Ahmed showcased their skills as national players, while Sibtain Raza Shah, Abdullah Ghullam Hussain, Muhammad Ahsan Naseer, and Amer Qamer Ud Din brought their A-game as former national players. The teaching fraternity was represented by devoted sports teachers like Sargunam Parthiban, Kalaivani Santhoshkumar, and Farida Banu, with the latter being an ex-national player herself.
The event saw the participation of accomplished sports organizer Shaikh Munir, Box Cricket Organizer Hywel Pinto, Fast Bowling Specialist & School-level Coach Krunal Patil, and Level 0 Coach (Kuwait Cricket) Tariq Hussain.
The certificate handover ceremony was a pride-filled moment, graced by Mr. Sajid Ashraf, Director General of Kuwait Cricket. He commended the relentless efforts of tutors Tahir Khan, Tariq Rasool, and Khadija Khalil, whose tireless work had made the course a massive success. Mr. Ashraf also recognized Qasim Ali's valuable mentorship, which had greatly enriched the coaching experience.
The gathered participants shared their thoughts in a live interactive session led by Mr. Ashraf. He emphasized Kuwait Cricket's unwavering commitment to ongoing development, hinting at plans for an ICC Level-2 Coaching Course later this year.
In attendance was Mr. Naveen Jayan, Head of Match Officials & Technical, and a crucial member of the High Performance Committee, underlining the significance of the event.
