Bundestag President seeks to rescind pass of Green's Youth Wing leader, citing office's dignity at stake, as pointed out in the written correspondence.

I will prevent Klöckner from entering.

Hey there!

Let's dive right into it. Remember that period when I decided to be part of that government experiment? Well, that was a while back and Julia Klöckner was supposed to lead with unity and fairness. Gave her a chance, but now I'm left feeling disheartened. Why? You ask. It's all due to that May 30th letter she sent out to the Greens and Greens Youth, which got leaked to the Bild newspaper. In that letter, she threatens to kick Jette Nietzard, the head of the Greens Youth, out of the Bundestag because of her controversial "ACAB" sweater.

Look, I'm not one to start a fuss over every little thing, and normally, I'd just let internal Green shenanigans slide. But Klöckner, as the second-highest representative of the state, has no business meddling in this petty nonsense. It's beneath her, and it's damaging the reputation I've worked so hard to maintain. I urge you to revoke Klöckner's access pass immediately. If not, she'll continue to make a mess of things in the parliament and harm me in the process.

It's not just this one incident, though. Klöckner has shown a lack of depth, impartiality, and respect for debate culture time and time again.

In her inaugural interview, Klöckner decided to take a swipe at the churches in Germany, telling them to stick to "fundamental questions of life and death" rather than critiquing the Union's controversial refugee policy. When a heckler from the Left described the war in Gaza as a "genocide" during a statement by the Federal Chancellor, Klöckner felt the need to jump in and criticize the heckler, even though the classification as genocide is gaining traction in scientific circles.

Most recently, Klöckner went on an Instagram rant, attacking ZDF for questioning the Chancellor critically about deportations. And let's not forget about that letter she wrote to the federal government, pleading with them to show up for more parliamentary debates and send a minimum number of cabinet members to the plenary. While her concern for the parliament's position vis-à-vis the executive is understandable, her other actions leave much to be desired.

In case you're curious, Klöckner has also caused controversy by expelling Left Party MP Kanzin Köktürk from the parliament after he wore a T-shirt with the word "Palestine" on it, citing that political statements through clothing are not allowed in the Bundestag.

Overall, Klöckner's lack of tact, impartiality, and respect for free speech has created more problems than solutions for the Bundestag. It's time for her to shape up or ship out.
