A Long and winding Procedure
Until the Hungarian authorities revoke Magyar's immunity, they cannot indict him. Once this request is communicated to the European Parliament, it will be discussed in the Parliament's legal affairs (or JURI) committee, which must appoint a rapporteur and arrange for two rounds of discussion on the issue, inviting the MEP in question to a hearing.
