Humboldt Forum blends nature’s rights debate with Funko Pop creativity for kids

The Humboldt Forum recently hosted a unique event and an interactive activity during the Berlin Science Week. On 9th November 2025, experts, activists, and artists came together to discuss 'Rights of Nature: From Law to Action'. Meanwhile, children aged three and above had the opportunity to create their own personalized Funko Pop boxes.

The workshop, held in the prestigious Humboldt Forum, delved into the legal and practical aspects of nature's rights. Speakers explored how these rights can be translated into action, sparking insightful discussions among attendees.

Simultaneously, the forum offered a creative outlet for young visitors. Children were invited to design their own pop-up boxes, which they could fill with images of loved ones, cherished memories, or favourite objects. This hands-on activity allowed young minds to engage with the forum's offerings in a fun and imaginative way.

The Humboldt Forum successfully combined intellectual discourse with child-friendly creativity during the Berlin Science Week. The 'Rights of Nature' workshop stimulated thought-provoking conversations, while the Funko Pop box activity provided an engaging experience for young attendees.
