Hulk's potential return featuring Mark Ruffalo in 'Spider-Man: Fresh Start' is under consideration.

In an exciting turn of events, Marvel and Sony have announced that Mark Ruffalo will reprise his role as Bruce Banner, a.k.a. the Hulk, in the upcoming film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day". The Hollywood Reporter was the first to break the news of Ruffalo's casting, although Sony and Marvel have yet to officially comment on the matter.

The announcement comes as a delight to fans, who have long speculated about the Hulk's involvement in the Spider-Man universe. The teaser video showed a close-up of the new suit with the caption "something brand new is coming."

Ruffalo's return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe marks his fourth appearance as the Hulk. He previously starred in "The Avengers", "Avengers: Age of Ultron", "Thor: Ragnarok", and the recently premiered "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law". However, it remains unclear whether Ruffalo's Bruce Banner has closed a deal to appear in "Spider-Man: Brand New Day".

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film is set to feature a star-studded cast. Apart from Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal will join the cast as the Punisher, while Michael Mando is set to portray Scorpion. The film will also see the return of Zendaya as M.J. Jones-Watson and Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds.
