Hulk Hogan's son reveals a commemorative banner in honor of his father's birthday prior to the launch of a bar in Midtown.
In the heart of Midtown Manhattan, a unique tribute venue is set to open its doors on November 1, 2025. The Slam Sports Bar, located directly across from Madison Square Garden at 461 Eighth Avenue, will pay homage to the legendary wrestler, Hulk Hogan.
Key features of Slam Sports Bar include a bold, brash, and nostalgic design inspired by Hulk Hogan’s persona and memories. The $7 million investment has transformed a 9,000-square-foot, three-story venue into a testament to Hogan’s career.
The interior architecture of the bar is inspired by Madison Square Garden’s iconic ceiling, while the walls are adorned with extensive wrestling memorabilia celebrating Hogan’s illustrious career. Looping reels of classic wrestling matches will keep the spirit of Hulkamania alive, and visitors can enjoy Hogan’s own "Real American Beer."
The rooftop level offers notable views fit for a heavyweight, providing an ideal spot for fans to gather and celebrate the legacy of the man who brought Hulkamania to life. The venue is intended as a “living tribute” to Hogan, marking the location where his WWE stardom took off in the 1980s.
The Slam Sports Bar project was a collaboration between Hulk Hogan and hospitality veteran, Rich Rosen. Despite Hulk Hogan’s sudden death in July 2025, the project continues as originally planned, with his family and business partners committed to honoring his legacy through the venue.
ICRAVE, a renowned design company, has been tasked with the revised plans, ensuring that the bar will offer a truly immersive "Hulk Hogan Experience." The design for the public will be released shortly, but a banner featuring an April 29, 1985, Sports Illustrated cover photo of Hulk Hogan already graces the facade of the bar.
Nick Hogan, Hulk Hogan’s son, expressed his excitement about the venue, stating that the location will always be home to Hulkamania and will always be special. Regardless of the future of Madison Square Garden, the location will remain the iconic location of Hulkamania's origins.
There was hope that Hulk Hogan’s close ties to President Donald Trump might help keep Madison Square Garden at its current site, but the future of the venue remains uncertain. Despite this, the Slam Sports Bar stands as a testament to Hulk Hogan's enduring legacy and the impact he had on popular culture.
