Hulk Hogan's Slam Sports Bar to Open in New York City
Hulk Hogan's Slam Sports Bar, a $7 million, 9,000-square-foot venue dedicated to the wrestling legend, is set to open this fall in New York City at 461 Eighth Avenue, directly across from Madison Square Garden. The bar, themed as a "paradise of power, wings & wrestling glory," celebrates Hulk Hogan's legacy.
The venue aims to blend sports bar atmosphere with wrestling memorabilia and tributes, making it a notable new attraction near MSG, a key site in wrestling history. The banner unveiled for the bar's opening features the April 29, 1985, Sports Illustrated cover photo of Hulk Hogan, a testament to his enduring impact on the sport.
Hulk Hogan often expressed that he felt like a champion whenever he was in New York City, and the location will always be special to the Hogan family. The bar's revised plans are being handled by ICRAVE, a design company known for its innovative and immersive spaces.
Rich Rosen, a hospitality veteran, partnered with Hulk Hogan on the project through a licensing deal. The bar will serve Real American Beer, a brand Hogan launched and promoted nationwide. It will also feature lighting and sound effects, videos, and permanent LED screens showcasing Hogan's previous matches.
Nick Hogan, Hulk Hogan's son, remains deeply involved in the business ventures associated with the bar. Regardless of future changes to Madison Square Garden, the location will remain the iconic site of Hulkamania. The design for the public will be released shortly.
