In a small German town, a promising chess talent is making waves in the world of chess. Hugo Keleti, a 10-year-old prodigy, has been turning heads with his exceptional skills, all thanks to an early introduction to the game in kindergarten.

Hugo's chess journey began at the tender age of eight, when he first learned the rules from his father, Josua. His skills quickly improved, enabling him to checkmate not only his club mates but also his father and uncle. This early success was further recognised through the school chess club and numerous tournaments.

Hugo's ambition is nothing short of extraordinary. He aspires to become the best chess player in the world. To achieve this dream, Hugo has qualified for the World Chess Championship, which will be held in Kazakhstan. The tournament will consist of eleven gruelling games, where he will compete against 99 other players.

The Keleti family has started a fundraising campaign to help cover the travel, accommodation, and tournament costs, which amount to approximately 6,000 euros. Hugo's father, Josua, accompanies him to all competitions, offering his unwavering support.

Despite the lack of information about who trained Hugo for his World Championship qualification, his determination and talent are undeniable. Hugo secured sixth place in the qualification, a significant achievement for such a young player.

Hugo represents Germany in the World Chess Championship. As he embarks on this journey, he carries the hopes of his family, his town, and his country. The World Chess Championship is set to be an exciting showdown, and all eyes will be on this young prodigy from Germany.
