New Local Mayor Appointed in Huchenfeld
In a meeting held by the Pforzheim City Council yesterday, Melanie Kirchgessner was appointed as the full-time local mayor of the Heights district of Huchenfeld. The Huchenfelder Local Council recommended Kirchgessner for the position unanimously, recognising her extensive qualifications and commitment.
Melanie Kirchgessner, a 33-year-old native of Pforzheim, has gained practical administrative experience as a caseworker in the lower building rights authority in the building administration and building ordinance department of the city of Leonberg until February 2019. Since March 2019, she has been responsible for the tasks of the lower building rights authority in the department for building law, nature conservation, and population protection in the Enzkreis district office.
Kirchgessner is known for her role in the Heights district of Huchenfeld, where she serves as the district director. Her work has been instrumental in community development and local administrative roles, contributing to neighborhood improvement and public engagement initiatives.
Prior to her career in public service, Kirchgessner completed her dual public management studies at the University of Administration and Finance in Ludwigsburg in 2016. She also worked as a bank clerk with additional qualifications as a financial assistant at Sparkasse Pforzheim Calw.
Kirchgessner succeeds Julia Wieland as the Mayor of Remchingen, a position Wieland has held since mid-September. The appointment of Kirchgessner is part of a transfer.
Melanie Kirchgessner lives with her family in Pforzheim and is looking forward to contributing her work in her home city, specifically a good cooperation with the local council in Huchenfeld.
