United States President Donald Trump claims to have received a request from the Houthi movement in Yemen to halt airstrikes, offering a cessation of hostilities in return[1]. However, the Houthis swiftly rejected this narrative. Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a senior member of the group's Supreme Political Council, denies any intention of retreat or compromise[1].
