Houseful 5 to Feature Distinct Assassins, Multiple Conclusions Dependent on Cinema Venue
In an intriguing twist, the upcoming comedy-thriller Housefull 5, featuring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh, is set to present audiences with multiple endings based on screening locations.
At the unveiling of the film's trailer in Mumbai, producer Sajid Nadiadwala shared an unexpected revelation. He aims to create a film with a surprising element that keeps audiences discussing long after they leave the theaters, hence, the concept of multiple endings for each theater.
According to Nadiadwala, depending on the theater where the movie is screened, viewers will witness a different character revealed as the murderer. For instance, a screening at Gaiety will showcase one murderer, while Galaxy might display another. The same applies to specific screens within multiplexes, such as PVR screen number 4 versus PVR screen number 5. This unique approach guarantees a different ending for every viewer, making each theater visit an unexpected experience.
Nadiadwala claims that this concept marks a world-first, stating, "This is happening for the first time in the world... every theater will have a different killer."
Fardeen Khan, a cast member, shared during a conversation that the actors were unaware of the twist until after filming. Nadiadwala confirmed this, adding that even half of the cast remains in the dark about the killer's identity to maintain the mystery.
Housefull 5 is a comedy of errors contradicting a murder mystery that unfolds on a luxury cruise, according to the trailer. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Shreyas Talpade, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Panday, and more. The film is slated for a June 6 release.
In an interesting turn of events, Housefull 5, set to release in India, will offer a unique entertainment experience, as each theater will showcase a different murderer, bringing a fresh twist to the murder mystery genre within this Bollywood comedy. Fardeen Khan, one of the cast members, revealed that the actors were uninformed about the twist until after filming, adding to the intrigue and mystery surrounding the movie. This groundbreaking approach, claimed by producer Sajid Nadiadwala, aims to make India's movie-and-TV entertainment scene a global leader with this world-first concept.
