On May 15, 2025, amidst the hustle and bustle of Manchester, this Grammy-winning artist was nabbed by the police in a 5-star hotel, as per media reports. The allegations against him are nothing short of severe.

The media recently reported, much like the British tabloid, "The Sun," that detectives from the Metropolitan Police arrested Chris Brown at the swanky Lowry Hotel. The rapper, aged 36, is accused of inflicting grave injuries on a music producer in a London nightclub back in February 2023.

The buzz started when the "Sun" announced that they had wind of Chris Brown's arrival in the UK. Upon this revelation, they inquired with the police if any action had been taken. The officers, intrigued, apparently drove to the hotel.

According to the police, a 36-year-old man was arrested at a hotel in Manchester on the morning of May 15. The arrest was made on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. The suspect, while in custody, is said to be relating to an incident at an event in Hanover Square on February 19, 2023.

The alleged assault victim is music producer Abe Diaw, who claims that Brown attacked him unprovoked at the popular nightclub Tape around 3am that fateful day. Diaw alleged that Brown hit him two to three times on the head with a bottle and continued beating him while he lay on the ground. After the assault, Diaw was hospitalized and needed the assistance of crutches post-discharge.

The current arrest may well jeopardize Brown's ongoing world tour, which includes ten dates scheduled in the UK. The tour aims to celebrate Brown's impressive 20-year career in music.

Chris Brown has had a checkered history with the law. His most infamous case was his guilty plea for assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, leading to a sentence of five years of probation and community service. He was also obliged to attend an anti-aggression program.
