Hostile Russian Assaults in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv Regions Result in Five Deaths, Seven Injuries

In a series of attacks across three Ukrainian oblasts on 18 September and the morning of 19 September, five people were tragically killed and seven injured. The attacks were reportedly carried out by Russian forces in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv oblasts.

In Kharkiv Oblast alone, seven settlements came under fire. Four women were injured in an attack on the Polohy district on 18 September. A 37-year-old man was injured in the village of Bilyi Kolodiaz in the Vovchansk hromada.

The man is currently in a critical condition, and the 74-year-old man injured in the Stepnohirsk hromada on the morning of 19 September is also receiving urgent medical attention.

Reports from local authorities indicate that Russian forces used various types of weapons, including 10 guided aerial bombs and several Geran-2 and Molniya drones. The attacks resulted in the destruction of civil infrastructure in several locations.

In Mala Danylivka, Kharkiv district, an outbuilding was damaged. A house was destroyed in Novomykolaivka, a petrol station in Shevchenkove, and a residential house in Bilyi Kolodiaz was also affected. In addition, the community arts centre and several storage facilities belonging to a farm were destroyed in Bashylivka, Lozova district.

On 18 September, a FAB-250 bomb was dropped on a residential area in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk Oblast, killing five people and injuring one.

The Donetsk Oblast Military Administration did not include casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha in their count of the deaths and injuries in Kostiantynivka.

Fedorov reported that the Russians fired 376 times across 14 settlements in Zaporizhzhia Oblast on 18 September. Syniehubov, another local official, confirmed these accounts.

These attacks serve as a grim reminder of the ongoing conflict in Eastern Ukraine and the devastating impact it continues to have on civilian populations. Our thoughts are with the families of those who have lost their lives and those who are suffering as a result of these attacks.
