Horse Therapy Program for Adults with Disabilities Launches in Vila de Soito
A horse-related psychomotor program for adults with autism, cerebral palsy, and other disabilities has launched in Vila de Soito, Viseu. The 'Associação de Apoio à Pessoa com Deficiência de Vila de Soito' (AAPDVS) is behind this initiative, aiming to foster social integration and reduce the burden on families and caregivers. The program, which was previously focused on children and young people, now includes adults. It utilises horses as a central tool for activities and programs across different locations. Participants, who often face isolation or exclusion due to their limited autonomy, can benefit from this unique approach. The association specialises in horse activities, making it an ideal setting for individuals with varying conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, and illness-induced disabilities. The 'Associação de Apoio à Pessoa com Deficiência de Vila de Soito' (AAPDVS) is dedicated to providing social integration opportunities for adults with disabilities who lack independence. Through its horse-related psychomotor program, it seeks to alleviate some of the pressure on families and caregivers, offering a supportive and engaging environment.
