Honoring Farewells: Kogi Information Ministry Pays Tribute to Departing Permanent Secretary Ebenezar Adurodija and Colleagues

On a significant day in September 2025, the Ministry of Information and Communications held a ceremony at the NUJ Press Centre, Lokoja, to honour three distinguished public servants: Mr. Ebenezer Adrodija, Mr. Sunday Adeniyi, and Mallam Sheidu Idris.

The outgoing Permanent Secretary, Mr. Adrodija, was presented with a four-volume book titled "Adurodija's Collection," a testament to his leadership and service. The book, reviewed by Dr. Sam Metiboba and Dr. Temitope Joe, professionals and members of the Association of Nigerian Authors, was launched during the ceremony.

Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo, Commissioner for Information and Communications, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate a diligent, committed, and trustworthy public servant. He commended Mr. Adeniyi and Mallam Idris for their diligence, commitment, and hard work during their service years.

The event marked the end of Mr. Adrodija's tenure as Permanent Secretary and the beginning of his new role as a Technical Assistant to the Ministry of Information and Communications. Hon. Fanwo announced this recognition due to Mr. Adrodija's hard work, diligence, commitment, and competence.

In his speech, Mr. Adrodija emphasized the importance of serving humanity with compassion, sacrifice, and determination. He expressed gratitude to God, the state government, and his colleagues for the opportunity to serve as Permanent Secretary.

The state website, under Mr. Adrodija's management, is reported to have generated over 10 billion naira for the state government. The event ended with applause, tributes, and gifts presented to Mr. Adrodija, Mr. Adeniyi, and Mallam Idris.

Hon. Fanwo lauded Mr. Adrodija's versatility and knowledge on technology, stating that he has been working tirelessly to ensure that Kogi State makes a name. The event was to celebrate their meritorious service, dedication, and impactful contributions to the state civil service.

A book titled, "The Adurodija's Collection," was launched during the ceremony, recommended for educational and non-educational purposes. The search results do not provide information about the new Permanent Secretary of the Information Ministry in Kogi State after Ebenezer Adurodija's departure.

The ceremony was reported by AdegboyegaSegun, Information Officer, Ministry of Information and Communications. The event was a fitting tribute to these dedicated public servants, recognising their significant contributions to Kogi State.
