Erika Kirk Speaks Out
In her first public remarks since her husband's death, Erika Kirk, Charlie's wife, said, "to everyone listening tonight across America, the movement my husband built will not die."
Aggravated Murder Charges for Suspect
Tyler Robinson, the suspect in Charlie Kirk's assassination, has been formally charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, multiple counts of obstruction of justice, tampering with a witness, and a class A misdemeanor for a violent offense committed in the presence of a child.
Memorial Details
Doors for the memorial will open at 11 a.m. ET, and the service will start at 2 p.m. ET. The event is first-come, first-served based on stadium capacity, which is 63,000 people. Attendees are asked to wear their Sunday best in red, white, or blue and register online for the memorial.
A no-bag policy will be in effect, and guests arriving with a bag will not be permitted into the venue. Enhanced security measures will be in place, which may result in longer wait times than usual. Overflow seating will be available at Desert Diamond Arena.
Donations in Lieu of Flowers
Instead of flowers, guests are asked to honor Charlie's legacy by donating to Turning Point USA. Material items can be delivered to TPUSA headquarters.
Speakers at the Memorial
The list of speakers includes White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Donald Trump Jr., Tucker Carlson, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, and U.S. Ambassador to India nominee Sergio Gor.
Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and several other prominent figures will also be speaking at the memorial. Erika Kirk will also be speaking at the memorial.
Kirk's Legacy
During a podcast in June, Charlie Kirk explained that if everything completely goes away, he wanted to be remembered for his courage and faith. In the days following his death, his social media pages gained millions of followers. As of now, his Instagram is up to 12.3 million followers, TikTok is up to 9.4 million, and his personal YouTube has nearly 4.9 million followers.
In the past six days, TPUSA received more than 54,000 requests from high school and college students nationwide to start a chapter or get involved with an existing chapter. In a heartfelt post on social media, the vice president called Kirk a "true friend."
The Utah County Attorney's office has stated that it will seek the death penalty for the suspect in the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
This memorial promises to be a significant event, honouring the life and legacy of a man who made a significant impact on American politics.
