Hong Kong's Bar Leone Wins Top Title as Best Bar in Asia in 2025 Awards
Bar Leone, the popular Hong Kong establishment known for its "cocktails for the people" and tasty Italian sandwiches, has once again claimed the top spot on the prestigious Asia's 50 Best Bars list for 2025. This follows its debut win as the best bar in Asia last year.
The list, which recognises the region's most outstanding bars, saw Zest in Seoul take the runner-up position, with Singapore’s Jigger & Pony coming in third for the seventh consecutive year. Bar Us and Dry Wave Cocktail Studio, both from Bangkok, occupied the fourth and fifth positions respectively. Notably, Dry Wave Cocktail Studio is a new entry at No. 5 and also won the Disaronno Highest New Entry Award 2025.

This year's list included 20 new bars, with Bangkok having the most representations, boasting seven bars in total. Other notable inclusions were Boilermaker in Goa, Soka in Bengaluru, Bar Trigona in Kuala Lumpur, and Barc in Kathmandu.
Bar Us in Bangkok made a significant jump of 17 places, now holding the title of the best bar in Thailand. Other bars from the city on the list include Vesper, Bar Sathorn, and Opium.
In Hong Kong, Gokan and The Savory Project also made the list, with Penicillin and Bar Leone, run by Lorenzo Antinori, respectively taking the 16th and 1st positions.
Singapore saw the inclusion of Native, Nutmeg & Clove, and Cat Bite Club, while in Tokyo, Bar Libre, Bar Spirit Forward, and Punch Room were recognised.
Notable new entries include Reka in Kuala Lumpur, Lamp Bar in Nara, Yakoboku in Kumamoto, Moonrock in Tainan, Cosmo Pony in Jakarta, Carrot Bar in Jakarta, and To Infinity & Beyond in Taipei.
Upon winning the award, Justin Shun Wah, a team member at Bar Leone, expressed his joy and surprise, promising to continue delivering exceptional cocktails and experiences to their patrons.
