Hong Kong welcomes successful newcomer Enzo Millot
Enzo Millot Kicks Off Saudi Career with a Bang
Enzo Millot, the new signing from VfB Stuttgart, made an immediate impact in his first game for Al Ahli, scoring a crucial goal in the Saudi Super Cup semi-final match against Al Qadsiah on August 20, 2025.
Millot's goal, scored in the 31st minute, contributed to a comfortable 5:1 victory for Al Ahli, securing their place in the final of the Saudi Super Cup. The midfielder's impressive performance, which included a well-placed pass to Franck Kessie for a goal, has been hailed as a strong start to his career in the Saudi Premier League.
The match, played in Hong Kong for marketing reasons, marked Millot's first game for Al Ahli, and his first season with the team will officially begin next Thursday evening. His opponent in the first match of the new season will be Neom SC.
Millot's arrival at Al Ahli was reportedly accompanied by a transfer fee of around 30 million euros. The French midfielder had previously played for VfB Stuttgart, where he was a key player in the U19 team. However, the Saudi Super Cup was not the first competition Millot played for Al Ahli.
Millot's goal in the semi-final was the third for Al Ahli, and his performance throughout the game and the early part of the season has been described as potentially the "missing piece" for Al Ahli, who are aiming to build on recent successes and claim more trophies.
Following his impressive debut, Millot took to social media to celebrate his first goal and his first final with Al Ahli enthusiastically, highlighting the significance of this milestone for him personally.
In the Saudi Super Cup final, Millot assisted a goal as Al Ahli went on to win the title on penalties against Al Nassr after a 2:2 draw, marking a successful start to Millot's career with his new team.
